For children aged 2-4
Playgroup at Lorien Novalis School is a structured Playgroup based on Rudolf Steiner’s indications for your children. Playgroup runs Mondays to Fridays during school terms from 9.30am – 12pm and weaves free play, bread baking, song, story and handcrafts into an enriching holistic experience for both child and carer.

For children turning 4
Our aim is to make each child’s transition from home a gentle happy experience in an environment that is unfolding and unhurried, and through actions worthy of imitation.
Activities are woven into a strong daily rhythm. Each week children take part in activities such as cooking and gardening; painting, drawing and modelling; story, song and movement; and dressing-up, playing and resting.
Children are given continuing opportunity to play imaginatively with a variety of simple toys made from natural materials. Through play children learn to concentrate, persist, create, discriminate, co-operate and deal with a world of materials, of different situations and people.
